What is a Classroom Management Plan?
This is where our class learns what our routines and procedures will look like. We will also learn about the rules and expectations of the classroom and what consequences there will be for following/not following these expectations.
Our Classroom Rules and Expectations
We will strive to create a welcoming and inclusive space for all our 4th-grade students. We believe in fostering a supportive and respectful environment where every student can thrive and reach their full potential.

Our classroom rules and expectations include:
-
Raising your hand - raise your hand to ask/answer questions and wait quietly to be called on.
-
Using walking feet - For your safety please save your running feet for recess.
-
Respecting each other's bodies - Keep your hands, feet, and other objects to yourself.
-
Keeping a clean desk - Keep all trash picked up around your desk and keep your desk organized to where you can easily and quickly access your materials.
-
Taking care of class materials - Treat class materials with care and remember you are only borrowing them.
-
Doing your best every day! - Everyday your best might look different but as long as you are giving it your all, you will succeed in this class and in the future.
Our Classroom Routines and Procedures
I am thrilled to share that setting clear rules and procedures is crucial for a fantastic school year! I can't wait to discuss these in detail on the first day of school. In the meantime, take a sneak peak at what to expect and of course feel free to revisit this in the future. Together, we can create an amazing and respectful learning environment!

Our Classroom Routines and Procedures

-
Entering the Classroom - Enter the classroom quietly, take out the material for the day, place backpack on the designated wall.
-
Turning in homework/paperwork - Place any completed homework or signed paper work in their respective bins on Mrs. Anderson's desk.
-
Transitions for class activities - Quietly and with walking feet, head to the activity area you were asked to go to.
-
Lining up - Quietly line up in your respective lines at the door. Remember to respect others while in line.
-
Finishing work early - If you finish early there are daily options to choose from that you may do quietly.
-
Dismissal - Quietly pack up your backpack, check your desk and surroundings for any trash that needs to be thrown away or materials that need to be put back. When finished please quietly sit at our carpet for our recap meeting and dismissal.
Consequences & Expected Behaviors
Consequences in the classroom can be a powerful tool for learning and growth. When we make mistakes, it's important to acknowledge them and take responsibility. This can lead to positive consequences, such as praise and recognition for good behavior. On the other hand, negative consequences, such as detention or loss of privileges, can help us learn from our mistakes and make better in the future. Consequences can be a valuable part of the learning process.
